Where to start?

I'm new to Treehouse and am wondering where do I begin?

Also, where can I see the "bigger picture" of how all the pieces work together (source code to compiler, etc.) and where to begin accessing these (literally, where do I download the compiler to turn it into a runnable program, etc.)?

Thank you!

Where to start, starts with asking yourself, what do you want to build. A website, a webapp, mobile app (iOS or Android), etc? Usually when you install the language you're going to be using, you'll have the compiler to make the code..."work".

Almost all developers need to know basic html and css so I suggest starting with front end track!
