Which Editor are the best?

Hello Treehouse Community!

I am looking for a good editor. Currenty I using Sublime2 but he isn't so great and I looking for a new editor, now. But which Editor are the best at the moment? :-)

I am using Windows and Mac OSX.

Thanks for answers! Christian

Sublime Text 3 is absolutely the best editor, in my opinion. It's hugely customizable, but there's a bit of a learning curve. Take some time to read over the documentation and learn about using the command palette and package control.

I also use PHPStorm for coding WordPress projects because that's partly what it's designed for. You could as a general code editor too, but that might be overkill.

I'm using Atom and it's really great to work with. It's an editor made by Github. And you can customize it the way you want.

Thank You, I test Atom directly!

Hi,

Do you know all the power behhind sublime2? theres a new version of sublime3 as well.

There are many.

Brackets, coda, notepad++ etc..

There isnt just the best. The way they differ is the way they apear. SOme might have few or less functions, but they should , most of them, do the job you would want to do.

If you don't know, you should look at the power os sublime, and go on yt for text editors so you can scan them fast.

Hello, I am a fan of Brackets, I have only tried a few others but really enjoy this one.
