Which server side scripting language should i learn? PHP? Ruby? NodeJS?

After understanding the front-end programming such as Html, CSS and Javascript. Can you guy please show me which back-end programming should i study? I think the popularity nowadays is Nodejs right?

Id say probably all?

You can go with PHP and WordPress, i think thats a good starting point, at least thats what im doing, i don tknow JS really, apart ofrm basics, but im getting a client and doing the website with PHP WordPress , making it into a theme.

Ruby and Ruby on Rails is also good , probably getting mroe popular etc.. its good, it will do 75% of your work as they say, it will take quite more time to learn it.

and NodeJS as well : p

It depends from you , maybe is ur doing JS you can do even more NodeJS, and go into WordPress PHP and then Ruby?

Btw, this is programming, not scripting.

JavaScript is a programming language, PHP, Ruby etc..

hahaha....you're so mean.....i think i will start from PHP.....Thanks dude ;)

xd i didnt ment to be 'mean' but well, the weather here is pretty ugly :D pretty dark.

I think if you do PHP basics, then WordPress and go throw the track , and then Go into OOP maybe. After that Ruby and or Nodel, or Nodle even with JS, i mean, some parts to handle some of the backend part.

lolz, where is the best answer button xD by the way, Its still raining here.

Actually, ALL scripting languages ARE programming languages. eg. JavaScript is a Scripting Language (Front-end) --- Python is a Scripting Language (Back-end), etc.

:)

thanks for your correcting ^^

Depends on what language your most comfortable with. For me I gravitate toward, javascript, python, and php.

Remember they are tools used to do a job. But yes learn all of them pick one you like the most and one that can get the job done the fastest.
