Which Techdegree program should I start with?

Alright my Treehouse family I am taking the leap of faith to quit my job and focusing all of my time in becoming a developer. Is there a path or Techdegree that you all think I should start with? I am leaning towards front end web development. Does it even matter where I start?

Hi Tommy ,

That is great that you join Tech Degree Program ,I recommend you join the Tech Degree with the one you leaning towards and interested too. If you feel uncomfortable, You can switch the tech degree tracks later.

I also join Tech Degree Program and Graduate. The experience are the best. It brush up a lot of my skilled. There are also many real world project that you can upload to github to build your profile and the Slack Group that let you ask programming question and peer review your project.

Those Tech Degree Real World Project such as my Full Stack Javascript Program are very up to date and I have to say that after I completed the Tech Degree Program. I am a lot more comfortable writing Full Stack Javascript Application than before. It built the skilled from ground up with very motive environment.

Also , I have Final Exam with Nicolas Hampton . He is very great guy!.

Thank you

Hey thanks for your response Juthawong! Can I ask you if you if you had any developing background and if you were working at the time?

Yes Tommy , I work on my Software Development Start up company : Ampare Engine

I had the same question, I chose front end because the languages covered also apply to a lot of other areas.

Hello Everyone!

I'm a 2015 Masters in Computer Science graduate. Since post grad I have been working at a job which is not a technical position. I had to take this job as I had no other option at that time. I don't like my current job a bit and I'm feel very stressed working on this current job because I'm more passionate about developing and creating new applications and my current job is no where close to it.

I'm actively looking for a Software developer job but I have been getting rejections as I dont have any work experience and real time projects to show.

I'm planning to take a Tech Degree course at TreeHouse so that I can learn more and build my portfolio and try again for jobs.

I'm hoping Treehouse learning experience helps me get a job in my field of interest i.e. Developing and creating something new.

My aim is to get a Software Developer Job in 3 months from now and to start I thought of starting with the Full Stack JavaScript techdegree.

But I'm not sure if this Track needs me to have a prior work experience or should I start with Front end development?

I would also appreciate if you guys have any suggestions on how to go about working on building a strong portfolio and getting a new job!

Thank You :)

Hell Eshaa, From Your Profile , I think you are more than great on Full Stack Javascript Tech Degree and Graduate :)

Thanks ,
