WordPress WordPress Hooks - Actions and Filters Filter Functions in WordPress An Overview of Filter Functions

Which track is best to do

Hi, finding the WordPress Hooks - Actions and Filters track a little tough to fully understand. This is due to lack of experience and knowledge of php. Basically I have just followed the WordPress theme development track.

Any suggestions which track I should switch to to give me a better insight to help me through this track?

Thanks :)

You might try the PHP track and switch to that before going back to Wordpress.

That said, the PHP For Wordpress course is a great for a low level look at how the language works in Wordpress. You're getting into the nitty gritty of Wordpress Development though so the courses will only get tougher so it's a learning curve. :)
