which version of photoshop is more suitable for having and working on , before diving into code

which version r the best to have better overview of the page before getting into the code also , which could help out in designing layout real faster and havinf coloring and texture effects ....

also suggest a tool for making real cool LOGOS for ur site

A free alternative to Photoshop if you are not ready to invest in their creative suites would be GIMP. http://www.gimp.org/

You can do most the things you do in Photoshop in GIMP.

As far as coding and Photoshop goes in my opinion they are completely irrelevant from each other, your not going to learn anything about coding from Photoshop.

Although Photoshop can be useful to make a draft version of the design of the website that you would then go program and then use photoshop for the final graphical elements.

Normally when I start a new design I will;

  1. Go over the clients requirements and specifications.
  2. Draw a 4-5 quick drafts of the layout positioning and its responsive re-sized versions.
  3. Code the general layout using flat colour background to seperate sections.
  4. Create the graphics in Photoshop afterwards to finish the design.

Design is important but is pointless without content and functionality, I tend to make sure that I have those two points in place before I even consider the design.
