while using gulp-connect all my links to a .php are causing for the index.php file to be downloaded instead displaying..

I'm trying to use gulp and it's gulp-connect plugin in my web app for auto reloading.

Now I have a few links that link to a index.php page which when clicked downloads the file instead of displaying it. Can anyone tell me why this is happening.
