When viewing an image there is a white space the size of the tab bar at the bottom of the view. The UIImage view in the storyboard stretches to the bottom of the view.

24,757 PointsCheck under the attributes inspector for the mode setting. Try setting it to Scale to Fill and see if that fixes the issue.
