13,514 PointsWHO HAS THE HIGHEST SCORE IN THE TREEHOUSE COMMUNITY??
I love competitions and learning at the same time! I once saw someone that passed their profile score up to 6000 and when I saw that that got me excited about getting my numbers up there! I spent my entire vacation time and christmas break learning and hoping to get to 6000 points! While I am almost there, I wonder who has the highest scores around?

29,571 Points- 1 to this idea.

29,571 PointsA guy named Holger is on 23,694 and another guy named Kevin is on 21,343. I have not seen any higher but it is possible there could be.
I would post their profiles but not sure if they would be ok with it.
I would be interested to know the maximum amount of points obtainable.

Courses Plus Student 44,108 PointsThere is no maximum amount of points obtainable because even when you finish all the lessons, you can still get points on the forum (+1 for up votes and +12 for best answers).

29,571 PointsYeah I know about the forum points. I just mean the maximum amount of points available through pure course completion.

Courses Plus Student 44,108 PointsI'm going to take a wild guess here, but I think the reason there is no leaderboard on this site is because it would be meaningless and Treehouse is not a competition.
The point system is here for you to gauge your progress and as a short-term self-motivational tool.
The points don't reflect your knowledge or experience. They reflect the fact that you were patient enough to sit through a quiz or a code challenge, both of which you could've passed by searching the forums or using some Google magic.
Of course, if you're "cheating" to get the points, the only person you're cheating is yourself. It's the same with competing with someone based on the points. As you have no real measure of how much actual knowledge they've picked up along the way, you can't really compete based on the points.
You are only competing with yourself.
What I believe would be an interesting leaderboard is one featuring points acquired through helping people on the forums, and only those points. That leaderboard would be a measure of something tangible and fairly objective.
Don't worry about the points. Concentrate on learning new things and sharpening your skills. The points are only there to provide you with feedback on yourself, not others.

2,672 Points@James Barnett, that would be awesome. I think it is a fantastic suggestion and one they should consider implementing.

9,183 PointsI got 8K after studying at my own pace for the space of 9 years. there are moments when I'm very active and I have lots of courses incomplete and the reason is that this site is a reference for me. I can tell you that my knowledge here is solid and with experience, but as another member was saying "If you cheat to get points then you fool yourself" I'm always gonna say that team treehouse is the best web school to learn and I watched many other videos and sites but really there are just a couple of other guys that bring the quality that team treehouse has. 9 years of consuming team treehouse content say how much I like it :)
