The effort is appreciated, but there should be no hand-me-downs within the learning process. If you can't deal with re-investing yourself because of a mistake you've made, it will extremely difficult to last as a designer in any industry.

You can do it, and if you needed to redo the small amount of work you had done so far... it would have taken way less than the seven months it took for someone to reply. ;)
