Who makes more money frontend or backend developer?

I would like to ask about frontend and backend development. When considering both, which world make more money?

And which one has more (remote) jobs?

1 Answer

Traditionally, backend devs will make more money and seems to have more opportunities currently although front end dev is catching up. Also, we are seeing that a lot of Front End jobs are actually "Mid-End" and blur both front and back end worlds. I would assume these jobs will pay more as it is more specialized.

I would also say that backend has more remote opportunities as there are just more back end jobs in general.

PS: I have no data to back this up ;)
