Why aren't the colors of the buttons changing?

I rechecked it and I am probably looking over something. Can someone help me with this? Thanks.

Your problem is with this selection:

input[type="type="email"] {
  background: #fdfee6;
}

You have this selection done properly above the faulty version shown here, but this is a duplicate section that should be removed. The syntax is wrong and CSS is waiting for a closing quote (") and will continue evaluating any code that follows as part of the same statement until it finds that closing quote. As such, all your CSS definitions below that will not work.
