Why can't i reference to cell B1 in the formula "=COUNTIFS(B1,">"&B6-B10,B1,"<"&B6+B10)/B1".

Why can't i reference to cell B1 in the formula "=COUNTIFS(B1,">"&B6-B10,B1,"<"&B6+B10)/B1". Instead of pasting the range '2017.csv'!V2:V26411. Cell B1 holds the value 26410 which is the total number of finishers.

I'm not positive as I don't get too much practice with spreadsheets but from searching online I did see that it might be due to COUNTIFS typically referencing ranges instead of single cells directly.

Maybe try replacing B1 in both instances with B1:B1? This would just give it a single cell "range".

Again, I'm not aware of the context or usage completely, but hopefully this will work or at least spawn another idea for you. Let us know! :smiley:
