6,307 PointsWhy cascading doesn't seem to affect the css for pics links that are added in this video?
The below code is added in this video in the "PAGE: PORTFOLIO" section:
#gallery li a p {
margin: 0;
padding: 5%;
font-size: 0.75em;
color: #bdc3c7; /* Shade of Grey */
}
In main.css, "PAGE: PORTFOLIO" section comes above the "COLORS" section where the following css is defined for a tag:
a {
color: #6ab47b; /* Shade of Green */
}
The cascading seems to have no affect on the above css as the picture caption links changes to grey. Why?
Ankit Sharan
6,307 PointsThe color of the text still comes as grey. It should be green as the lone a tag css is coming after the #gallery li a css.

2,435 PointsSorry but this looks horrible, cant read it and its missing. Please reffer to the Markdown Cheatsheet , its just above the post answer .
Ankit Sharan
6,307 PointsI know and I am truly sorry for that. I realised that when I posted it. I tried all the options in the Markdown Cheatsheet but none of them is working. I tried enclosing the code in 3 ticks, with and without css/html as language. But these options are making the above text worse. Any suggestions to improve the above text is most welcome.
Konrad Pilch
2,435 Pointsyou do the three ticks and straight away write html or css and then you press enter TWICE and same on the bottom. It needs to have a line break between then on bot sides, top and bottom.

6,307 PointsThank you Konrad. I was missing the line break before the 3 ticks. I hope now it is ok.
