Why do we have to create a separate HTML variable?

Can I just do this instead?

for (var i = 0; i < 1000; i++) {
  document.write("<div>"+ i + "</div>");
}

Yes u can put html tags inside a for loop, or make 1000 manual divs in html and parsing the variable in it.

Just to show you how a loop can affect the pages you are working on - anything can go inside a loop.
