2,877 Pointswhy does android studio want a git repository root specified?
I am placing my Android Studio projects inside git repositories and syncing them to my GitHub account. It all works, but each time I create a new project, I get an error message that showing the folder at the top of my repository path saying that it is not a VCS root. The quick fix links show me how to add it as a root and the problem is solved. Why does it matter though? There aren't any other entries in the VCS root list and it's not a full path. I put my repositories in /Library/Fabs/gitHubRepos/. Is the /Library a dangerous place to put those? It seems to work. I'm just curious what this setting actually does...
