Why does it matter that the wrapper be exactly 1000px?

I understand how the main content area padding adds a little bit extra on the left and right sides, but who cares if it's 1032px in width?

Do we just want even numbers? Is this guideline for grid layouts?

It is to get more accurate media query break points.

If you add the following to top of css it will remove padding and border sizes from the total.

}
