Why does my pah keep disappearing?

When I use type on path, I am using Adobe CC and even the pen tool does the same thing.

It's probably still there, but once you set type on the path, your path's fill and stroke become transparent. You can use the direct selection tool to select your path to reset your fill and stroke. Try turning the Smart Guide on under the View menu. This helps you to see your path when you pass your selection tool over it.
