Why does this code not pass test?

class Store: open = 9 close = 4

def hours(self): return("We're open from {} to {}.".format(self.open, self.close))

method.py
class Store:
    open = 9
    close = 4

def hours(self):

In a word? Indentation. Remember, a method is a function defined inside a class and to be used on an object. Because your function is not indented it's now outside the class definition. If I indent your method code, the challenge passes! :smiley:

Thanks Jennifer Nordell . That was indeed the issue :)
