Why doesn't my code work ?

why isn't it working ?

ScrabblePlayer.java

    public ScrabblePlayer() {
        mHand = "";
    }

    public String getHand() {
       return mHand;
    }

    public void addTile(char tile) {
        // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
    boolean isTile = mHand.indexOf(tile) >=0;
       mHand += tile;
     }




    public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
      boolean hasTile = mHand.indexOf(tile) >=0;
     if (hasTile) { 

       return true;
           }

     else { 
       return false; 
          }

In the addTile you only need to add tile to mHand and hasTile check if mHand has the tile

public void addTile(char tile) {
        // Adds the tile to the hand of the player
        mHand += tile;
    }

    public boolean hasTile(char tile) {
       return mHand.indexOf(tile) > -1;
    }

You need to do something more like

 public ScrabblePlayer(String hand) {
        mHand = hand;
    }
