HTML HTML Forms Choosing Options Create Radio Buttons

Why doesn't this work?

The assignment is: Add a label above the radio button group that says "Shirt Size:". Don't associate it with any specific element.

The error is: You need to use the text "Shirt Size:" within the new label element.

Please help!

I give upvotes and if the answer gives the code out and gives a good explination I give out a best answer.

Thanks!

Jack

Hello there Jack. Lets see if we can't make things work for you. First. In your order form you are selecting two things, one of which is shirt color the other is shirt size. Try adding something In between The option values for the color, and the radio button for the size.

Hint: You have to separate or close the select option for the color before it will recognize the size :)

I'm surprised you got this far before encountering an error.
All the new code should be placed below the ending " </select>" tag.

Proper HTML requires that all direct children of a select element be option or optgroup elements.

You have a colon and space after shirt size try trimming it to the exact answer for the question.

 <label>Shirt Size</label>
        <input type="radio" id="small" value="small" name="shirt_size">
        <input type="radio" id="medium" value="medium" name="shirt_size">
        <input type="radio" id="large" value="large" name="shirt_size">

The challenge actually specifies the colon in the instructions. The space apparently doesn't matter in this case.

But good point, as the challenges are notoriously picky about output strings!

Tim, you got it wrong. Steven Parker was correct. I gave him the best answer sorry. Who knows though, next time you might get the best answer.
