JavaScript React Basics (2018) Understanding State Creating the Application State

Why don't we have to import React and ReactDom?

I think I know the answer but want to confirm. We do not have to import React and ReactDOM because we used the CDN so they are automatically "loaded". If we used NPM we would need to import them. Am I right?

Yes, Doug, you are correct. using the cdn React and ReactDOM is available in the browser's global scope. However, an npm project requires the import of React and ReactDOM as well as declaring them as your project's dependencies so they can get bundled alongside your code.
