why i should use slices instead of export assets just by using export button?

for example, i can select icon, tap export, choose 2x and that's it... so for what we make slices?

It really depends on your workflow and your tools.

The benefit of slices come into play when you want to slice up an entire layout into individual exports. When you do this on an entire layout you can then export all of your slices at once, as opposed to individually as each slice has a different export format and quality assigned to it.

Of course if you are designing one specific icon then you dont really need to slice up that one icon.

Not sure if that helps.

There's a couple of benefits of using Slices, as opposed to "Make Exportable". With Slices, you can export the entire area inside of a slice, as opposed to a single layer or group, and the other most commonly used case is when you want to include 'blank' pixels around a layer as opposed to it being trimmed a layer's edges.
