HTML How to Make a Website Beginning HTML and CSS Write a CSS Selector and Property

why is my colour not changing to blue?

It looks like I followed the instructions on CSS but can't figure out where i have gone wrong?

index.html
<style>

  <h1> {
  color: blue:
  }
</style>
<h1>Mary Chati</h1>

Put a semicolon after

color: blue;

You put a ":" which probably is the mistake.

hi Thanks. I figured out that I put <> on h1. Its worked now.

As you discovered, CSS selectors use only the tag name and not the angle brackets that would surround the tag in the HTML.
