Why is my flex box wrong?

please help with my flexbox i set the with to 300px and my flex-basis to 1 so isint the intial size already targeted?

You've got the right values, but on the wrong properties.

You don't want to constrain the width. The initial size is what goes in the "flex-basis" property.

Then putting a "1" into "flex-grow" will cause the columns to expand evenly.
