Why is my workspace not saving? I'm trying to open and resume but its not actually up to date. There is code missing

I'm doing css layout basics

You do have to save the workspace manually. On windows its CTRL-S. You can also do this from the pulldown menu. If youve already done this then something is wrong w the software.
