Courses Plus Student 179 PointsWhy is the Android Studio download a .zip file in the "Setting Up an Android Development Environment for Windows" video?
It should be a .exe file, I checked the Android page.

Courses Plus Student 26,868 PointsHi, Luke Wunderlich
Are you referring to the Android Studio download from this video ? https://teamtreehouse.com/library/build-an-android-app/getting-started-with-android/setting-up-an-android-development-environment-for-windows
Well, this is zip because the file wasn't linked to Google's Android download page, this file is hosted in Treehouse's AWS S3 cloud storage; it's an older version of Android Studio, but it's the same version as the one the instructor used during the lecture.
