Why is the JavaScript and the DOM course not in the Front End Dev track?

Why is this course not in the front end track? I started taking it despite the fact that I am doing the front end track before I do full stack JS, and I am learning so much about using JS in the DOM and how it handles the front end. It seems odd that it would not be included. Is this not something a front end dev should know?

Perhaps just because it's new.

It's probably not in the track right now because it was just recently released, and the track was already established for a while before. And bear in mind that while the tracks offer a logical progression of courses in a topic area, they may not cover everything someone working in the field should know.

But since I've been a student, I have seen tracks modified, so I know that happens occasionally. This track could be expanded to include this course at some future point.

Yeah, but it was added to the Full Stack JS track, where it had not previously been. Seems strange.
