Why is the 'markdown cheatsheet' link not displayed when asking questions?

Silly question, but why is the 'markdown cheatsheet' link not displayed when asking questions? It is only available when replying. Surely for newcomers asking first questions, it would be useful?

seriously? i wondered why no one was using it. Even the term markdown is kinda vague. When you first post a question, they should prompt you about it.

You're right that would be very useful for those asking questions for the first time. It could be included in the "A few reminders before you post:" section when you ask a question.

Since this should be a suggestion, be sure to email it to help@teamtreehouse.com I believe they are pretty active at checking that out.
