Why is this not working?

My code here keeps on displaying these errors

Value Playlist.type can never be nil comparison is not allowed.

and

Type 'Playlist?' has no member 'title'

class PlaylistDetailViewController: UIViewController {

    @IBOutlet weak var buttonPressedLabel: UILabel!

    var playlist: Playlist?

    override func viewDidLoad() {
        super.viewDidLoad()
        if Playlist != nil {       //Value Playlist.type can never be nil comparison is not allowed.
            buttonPressedLabel.text = Playlist?.title       //Type 'Playlist?' has no member 'title'
        }
    }

    override func didReceiveMemoryWarning() {
        super.didReceiveMemoryWarning()

Hello

On your conditional statement you are using Playlist which is a type, instead of the instance of it. So you have to use, playlist with the lower p. This should solve your problem, give it a try. 

var playlist: Playlist?

        // Use lowercase P
        if Playlist != nil {       //Value Playlist.type can never be nil comparison is not allowed.
            buttonPressedLabel.text = Playlist?.title       //Type 'Playlist?' has no member 'title'
        }
