why isn't my code correct

def modulus (a, b) #write your code here c = a % b string = <<-STRING The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c} STRING return STRING end

method.rb 
def modulus (a, b)
  #write your code here
  c = a % b
  string = <<-STRING
The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c}

You don't need to make a multiline string.

Also, you shouldn't change the name of the method. That will confuse the challenge :smile:

Try this:

def mod(a, b)
  c = a % b
  return "The remainder of #{a} divided by #{b} is #{c}."
end
