Why isn't this working?

img { max-width: 100%; display: block; margin-bottom; 30px; margin: auto; }

I see a couple of things here. First, after margin-bottom, there should be a colon : not a semi-colon ;. Also, you have margin-bottom and margin. I believe one of them should be padding. See if that helps at all.
