C# C# Basics (Retired) Console I/O Formatting Output

Why isn't this working Console.WriteLine(firstName + " rocks!");

This didn't work neither did concatenating and assigning to firstName before WriteLine

CodeChallenge.cs
string firstName = Console.ReadLine();
Console.WriteLine(firstName+โ€œ rocks!โ€);

You've got the wrong kind of quote marks. As Patrik indicated visually, you're using word-processor style quotes instead of programming quotes. This might be from cutting and pasting them from the instructions. Actually cutting the message itself is a good idea, but always add the quotes yourself to make sure they're the right kind.
