Why not considering ASP.NET?

I just want to ask why Treehouse training does not consider frameworks such as ASP.NET in their courses?

ASP.Net isn't the new hottness. People want to hear about Ruby on Rails, Django & Wordpress.

ASP.NET is proprietary, and while there is a lot of legacy codebase that needs to be maintained, open source code is seen as the future of the web.
