Why not Console Foundations before Sass?

On the Web Design Course, Console Foundations isn't a prerequisite for Sass. Why not?

Although I would be inclined to agree with having it first, there are ways to use Sass without the console through third-party apps like Scout. It is probably for this reason, and the fact that Hampton doesn't really get too involved in the console that they did this. Still, I would rather know the console than to use third party apps to do the same thing!

Also for the purposes of the course you can just use codepen instead of spending time setting up a dev environment you might not even use.

Thanks for the responses. I will use codepen to complete the sass module.

Hi there,

It wasn't added to the track for the reasons mentioned above. We did, however, list the Getting Started with the Console stage as "Related Videos."
