Why not require 'jade' module?

How come we are not instructed to install jade module? Why don't we have to require jade in our app, like we do in Gulp? I have followed instructions and terminal gives me an error that the jade module is not defined.

Jade is the old name for that "Templating Language". You want to install Pug. Pug is the new Jade.

You would still need to install it via NPM
