I can similarly access these inside the terminal but was wondering since node-inspector allows access of these in the client console why does it only do so after a break but not priorly?

8,676 PointsThe break will pause the program temporary, so you can inspect what the value of each variables at that specific moment. If you break at a different point you will have a different variable scope.
