Android Android Lists and Adapters (2015) Acting on List Item Taps Tapping on a RecyclerView Item

Why OnclickListener instead of OnItemClick in the recycle view?

Why do we use onItemClick listener in the ListView? But in the Recycle view we implemented OnClickListener?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is because the ListView has a default adapter that uses OnItemClick whereas the RecyclerView does not have this adapter and thus we have to add an OnClickListener for the list item.
