why "python" > "chocolate" is True Isn't it supposed to be False

python is 5 words chocolate is 9 words

I see I had the same question, so it compares the first letter of each word and whichever letter comes in later, that word is greater than the other?

Example: "truffle" > "java" Because T comes after J.
