Why use absolute px value for padding instead of %?

Here, an absolute value of pixels is used instead of percentage. Wouldn't it be more adaptable if % was used?

You could, depend the case and what you want. If you want a full adaptive website, it's not rare to set all size in percentage and em/rem.

But fixed designs exist too.
