Why won't the terminal in Visual Studio Code run my js file?

I'm trying to get started learning node, but when I type node hello.js it doesn't output anything. I have a console.log('Hello') in the file but the terminal doesn't output it and I can't figure out why.

Did you install node on your computer? Try to type "node -v" in your terminal and check, if it retruns a valid version.
