GoKart.java
class GoKart {
  public static final int MAX_BARS = 8;
  private String color;
  private int barCount;

  public GoKart(String color) {
    this.color = color;
  }

  public String getColor() {
    return color;
  }

  public void charge() {
    barCount = MAX_BARS;
  }
  public boolean isBatteryEmpty(){
    barCount = 0;
    return true;

  }
}

1 Answer

Looks like your isBatteryEmpty method is incorrect. It should return true only if the barCount is equal to 0 and false otherwise.

public boolean isBatteryEmpty() {
  if (barCount == 0) {
    return true;
  }

  return false;
}

And any time you find yourself returning true or false like that, you can just return the result of the expression in the if statement between the parens.
