Wiki platform within wordpress

Hi so im currently working on a project where in the future we hope to have a wiki platform within a wordpress run website. we have searched the wordpress plugins etc but no luck of finding what we need. If there anything out there that anyone knows of or that is close to this that we could use to build it?

Thanks in advance,

Daniel

Depending on how far off in the future it is, you should watch the progress of this. http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:WPMW

Another possible option http://wordpress.org/plugins/wordpress-wiki-plugin/

I'm not sure what your ultimate goal is, so it's hard to recommend them. Today, these are probably the top two contenders to have a wiki in WP without custom coding it. That could however quickly change.

And if your not aware, Wikipedia runs on open-source code. Mediawiki is that open source code. Mediawiki is to Wikipedia as Wordpress is to any wordpress site.

Thanks, ill take a look at the plugin but mediawiki is just placing there pages within their site. we want this separate hosted by us so we have control. But will take a look at the plugin to see how it works within the theme.

Mediawiki is a CMS you download and install, just like wordpress
