Will treehouse give me enough knowledge...

Will treehouse give me enough knowledge to be fluent in the languages they provide?

i subscribed to learn about rails. they add new content each week - so much, that i can't ever catch up, which is a good problem to have, i would say!

i would couple treehouse with other resources. i like to read, so i picked up a few rails books, and i would encourage you to get involved in your local community (i.e., via meetup.com).

I think Treehouse gives you the foundation knowledge to go on achieve whatever you desire!

The courses and tracks give explanations second to none. I usually start with these, and team this up with the forums, and other online resources. If you were to learn, for example, Ruby on Rails on your own, its difficult to start and to know where to go for the best help and advice. Here, you are basically fed the information needed to get good background understanding, its presented in a logical linear way, and from the bottom up, so you understand all aspects of the language you learn.

This can only take you so far though, and you would need to take the knowledge gained here, and implement it into a project. In my opinion, the best thing about Treehouse, is that you can then come here at any time and ask the experts in the forums.any questions you have, not covered by the courses.

Hope this helps, and hope to see your around the boards

=)

Thanks!
