So, you want to crack a Windows 8 user password or a bios password?

Okay, try this one first, but it might not work (if it doesn't reply again to this thread, I still have some ideas). 1.Start the computer, and press Ctrl+Alt+Del twice when you see the Welcome/Login screen. 2.When (and if) you see the classic Logon box, type in the user name "Administrator" (without the quotes) and leave the password box empty. If you login successfully (hopefully), you will be able to go to the Control Panel>User Accounts and then change the password. Reply to this if it doesn't work for you or you want help with doing it.

P.S. That Administrator account, it's not your account, it's a "super-admin" account with some extented control over you computer, and you'll be able to access it if it's not locked.

Still, if this doesn't work, you could crack it with a program that burns CDs for such problems (http://www.lostwindowspassword.com/windows-password-recovery.htm) (fire up the PC>BIOS>Boot Priority>CD/DVD>Run the CD>Access to your account!), or you could try an more inconvinient solution, by running Ubuntu (any version) without installing it (run demo mode from the DVD you burned it). and then go and look at your drive for the file that Windows stores its passwords (works with 7, not sure for 8, google where the passwords are stored in Windows 8, and then you should be able to locate them with Ubuntu).

Have you tried the one with the CD? The first one didn't work because the OEM of your laptop has propably disabled that feauture. Try the method with the custom CD and reply to me whether you succeed or not.

Konrad, you have a bunch of these posts with the answer duplicated, can I go about deleting some of them?
