Windows friendly install?

I found this tutorial very frustrated as she only mentioned the install as it relates to her Apple OS. I'm not sure where to find the application or site folders on Windows. The most similar folder was Windowapps which is a hidden folder that needs special permissions to view. I am very new so am still practicing troubleshooting, but hopefully Treehouse continues to be supportive of Windows users. I will try to solve the problem through the Mamp website or Google.

It all depends on what you are trying to do. Most sites. XAMP for Windows MAMP for Mac.

If you are just trying to do WordPress and just get it up and running grab Local By Flywheel. It makes the process extremely easy.
