Without changing the variables, create a SINGLE conditional statement around the echo command that checks: 1.That a $username is set. 2.The users $role is NOT admin

index.php
<?php
$username = 'sketchings';
//Available roles: author, editor, admin
$role = 'editor';

//add conditional statement

if ($role != 'admin')
{
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administratior.";
}

Simon Coates is right. My bad, I made a spelling mistake.

// It might work to simply add an isset($username) and the ampersands. It was weird because I don't rememer coming //across this code challenge in the PHP track.

<?php
$username = 'skethings';
//Available roles: author, editor, admin
$role = 'editor';

//add conditional statement
if(isset($username) && $role != 'admin')
{
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administrator.";
}

I passed with

<?php
$username = 'sketchings';
//Available roles: author, editor, admin
$role = 'editor';

//add conditional statement
if(isset($username) && $role != 'admin'){
echo "You do not have access to this page. Please contact your administratior.";
}

Apparently, Brock Lynch seems to have altered the username and the verification code currently expects a spelling mistake.
