WordPress css formatting class name documentation?

I have noticed that in the example static html code for this course the class names assigned to various tags as hooks into css formatting seem to follow quite elaborate naming conventions.

Do these class names refer to standard WordPress css stylesheets that can be linked to when developing or modifying templates, and are the styling directives for these classes documented somewhere?

hey there! The community support for this course is really bad.

Sorry that this reply is 5 months after your post date.

I did some research because I've wondered this too. Short answer: No, I don't think there is a standard to how to setup HTML and CSS. I think WP developers are just very organized, because this type of development requires you to be.
