Is there a way to have my own UI for the WordPress dashboard? Thank you!

Yes! Ultimately, you can completely customize WordPress because you have total access to the code. However, you want to be VERY careful when you start making changes to WordPress core code. In fact, you should probably completely avoid it because it'll make upgrades very, very annoying.

That said, through the use of theme customization and plugins you can make plenty of safe changes to the WordPress Dashboard UI including color scheme adjustments, navigation changes, and login screen layout. I recommend getting started with this Treehouse course on the matter.
