1,888 PointsWordPress Publishing rights "change" on live server
Hi, I have a new wordpress site.
- It has no plugins
- running 2013 theme
- 4 pages
- (nothing else!)
It is performing perfectly on my localhost. When I upload it to my live server, and attempt to make a new post, the [publish] widget changes to the following
- only option is [Save Draft]
- no options to edit status, visibility,or publish options
- only option [Submit for Review]
Selecting [Submit for Review] results I'm returned to post list, and my new post appears to be lost (e.g. "All" count is not incremented).
- I am logging in as admin
- I have optimised & repaired the db (no errors reported)
It's as if running it on live is causing WP to change the privileges for admin? Can you help?
thanks in advance

Several potential causes. To simplify, try creating a new admin account and using it.
